Welcome to the Toothpaste For Dinner contest, 2006 edition. Just over 300 people sent in 692 pictures this year, pictures of PEOPLE WEARING SHIRTS THEY BOUGHT FROM THIS WEBSITE. There are several t-shirts people are wearing here which are not for sale - all of my available shirts are in the TFD Store page. If you don't see it, I don't have it. And if you do see something you like, you should get it ASAP - all my shirts are limited-edition and they rotate frequently!

Click here to see a full list of the 692 entries from this year's contest.

This was an arbitrary contest. I picked out some pictures that I like and awarded them prizes. There is one grand prize winner, five regular winners, and a lot of honorable mentions. I expected to get about 50 excellent entries but I ended up with more, so I gave out more free stuff. In fact, there are four pages of pictures this year. Are you ready to SCROLL DOWN?!?!?

GRAND PRIZE WINNER ($100 GIFT CERTIFICATE). This photo just looks like someone who is having a relaxed time on a nice day. He sent another particularly good photo too (click here to see it).

PRIZE WINNER #1 ($50 GIFT CERTIFICATE). TERROR!!!!

PRIZE WINNER #2 ($50 GIFT CERTIFICATE). This picture was taken in Antarctica. That is the most inhospitable environment of any photo that got sent in. Plus, it is a continent that hardly anyone goes to. Nobody ever comes back to work and tells you "hey, I wasn't at work last week, I was in Antarctica, what did I miss?"

PRIZE WINNER #3 ($50 GIFT CERTIFICATE). this comic

PRIZE WINNER #4 ($50 GIFT CERTIFICATE). If I saw this on the way to work I would know that either I was going to have a good day, or the world was going to end. If my morning was going badly I'd probably leave before lunch, so I could be sure to eat at Ted's Montana Grill one last time.

PRIZE WINNER #5 ($50 GIFT CERTIFICATE). This is pretty good, it is a very detailed picture. The color is great too. I bet his dad is one of those celebrity photographers, just one of the dudes driving around and taking nip-slip photos for millions of dollars. His dad is in his car right now looking under the seat, just yelling "WHERE IS MY CAMERA!!!" over and over. "WHERE IS IT!!! STAR WAS GOING TO PAY ME A HUNDRED LARGE FOR THOSE NIP SLIPS!"
Honorable mentions! These are entries which I like but which don't fit into any particular category. You guys get one free t-shirt each.

See, just get one of my shirts and wear it when you are on vacation. Honorable mention for druids.

You guys have some crazy hair! Honorable mention for crazy hair.

Honorable mention for Welcome to CTV News, I will be your host today. I just won a free t-shirt off the internet.

I got these two pictures and by themselves they were kind of funny. But they were wearing the same shirt and were the only two entries to feature the word "DICKS". Honorable mention for psychically acting in parallel over great distance (you each get one free shirt.)

Look, it's one of the guys from the toothpastefordinner.com Soccer Team! Honorable mention for being on my official soccer team.

This dude actually went to see Steven Seagal play guitar. He was playing guitar in some kind of yellow sleveless kimono. I don't know, it was very ceremonial, and very sleeveless. He sent me other pictures of Steven Seagal. I don't really keep up with movies so I'm not sure if this is a common thing that he plays guitar in them, or that he wears kimonos in his movies... Who knows. Honorable mention for this guy whose relationship to Steven Seagal I can't determine.

Look at how many there are of you! Look at how many yous there are there. Honorable mention for grammatical trainwreck.

Honorable mention for doubleface

Honorable mention for Flavor Flav.

Honorable mention for aggravated vehicular contest entering.

This looks like it would be in a catalog! Your broad shoulders flatter the Hanes 50/50 cotton/poly blend. Honorable mention for being wholesome.

This man is wearing the "shut up shut up shut up", one of my t-shirts from 2002. I only printed a few hundred of these and they are worth about $60 on the used market now (if you can find them at all.) Honorable mention for here is a new t-shirt.

Honorable mention for do you have your tickets to the t-shirt party?

Honorable mention for huge print of my comic. And having to sit on frozen fish/chicken.

Honorable mention for having an entire pirate costume.
